Why work at ʻŌiwi TV

I was raised in a community that is deeply rooted in Hawaiian traditions, practices, and stories. I was brought up in the kula kaiapuni program at Keaukaha, and appreciate the natural Hawaiian worldview that surrounded me from a young age. I enjoy researching and conversing in and around the Hawaiian language and culture. As an active participant in language revitalization and perpetuation, I find ways to leverage modern technology as a way for ʻōlelo to be transferred and normalized through multiple platforms of communication.
