We heard of the two famous songbirds of the South Pacific, Haumoana of Rapa Nui and Maisey Rika of Aotearoa. Their steadfastness in culture is a trait seen in our own songbird in the North Pacific, Hāwane Rios, from Hawaiʻi Island.
