Indigenous Insight – Spiritual Practices

Indigenous Insight – Spiritual Practices

In this episode of Indigenous Insight we look at religious and spiritual practices and the effect that they had on indigenous cultures. How are indigenous people expressing their religious or spiritual beliefs? Are they following an indigenous religion or being drawn to particular faiths? Are they resurrecting traditional beliefs and practices? Are conflicts arising over those traditional practices?  Eg. APTN NEWS recently reported a case of Christian Cree community in northern Quebec banning sweat lodges and all forms of First Nations spirituality.
