2011 continued a theme familiar to many involved with the revival of Hawaiian culture: normalization. As a people, we persist in normalizing our language and culture in all venues. The road is a long, arduous one, and this year was no different. The small victories, however, encourage us to continue. From ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi in the airport to the legalization of paʻiʻai, our culture will thrive well into the new year and beyond.
NA KA HAWAIʻI
NO KA HAWAIʻI
Our vision is to reestablish the Native Hawaiian worldview to a place of authority in Hawaiians, Hawaiʻi and the rest of the world.
