Hawaiʻi’s own Mākaha Son, guitarist and bass player, John Kapualani Koko returned to the hands of our Father yesterday. We send our endless aloha with him and his ʻohana in remembrance of our famous musician of Nānākuli who will remain an outstanding friend and role model for all Hawaiian musicians. God be with you until we meet again.

*In 2010 ʻĀhaʻi ʻŌlelo Ola covered a story with the Mākaha Sons documenting their humble beginnings and hopes for the future of traditional Hawaiian music.
