Hawaiʻi is famous for its aliʻi of old.  So is Rapa Nui, Easter Island, whose landscape is adorned with monuments, erected in memory of its “ariki” or kings and chiefs of old.  The song “Land of Kings” by Haumoana speaks about the sacredness of the earth and how we all need to care of it.
