The Hawaiian word waiwāi denotes something valued or treasured, true wealth. This program explores the concepts of aloha ʻāina, kōkua, ʻohana, and thinking “island.” Featuring Lani Kapuni, Lilia Hale, Clyde Aikau, Nainoa Thompson, Eric Enos, Sam Kaʻai, John Dominis Holt, Marion Kelly, Violet Hughes, and Keoki Fukumitsu.

Part 2

This program explores the concepts of ‘ohana (family), ho’okipa (hospitality), and po’okela (excellence). The importance of developing powers of observation and awareness of the world around us is also discussed. Featuring Lani Kapuni, Lilia Hale, Violet Hughes, Marie McDonald, John Dominis Holt, Harry Mitchell, Kekuni Blaisdell, Nainoa Thompson, Mike Kahikina, Clyde Aikau and Ipo Nihipali.
