Pūnana Leo o Wai`anae is hosting our first scavenger hunt fundraiser – `Imi`imi Wahi Pana o Wai`anae and we invite you to join us as we weave our way throughout the storied places of Wai`anae in teams of 2-4 players (at least one who can `ōlelo Hawai`i) following clues that lead to these wahi pana. The event will take place on Saturday, June 16th from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm and start and end at our preschool campus. The purpose of Imi`imi wahi Pana o Wai`anae is to fundraise for our school while sharing and learning about our Wai`anae wahi pana and wahi kapu and to perpetuate the mo`olelo that connect us to our `āina. It’s also about supporting `ōlelo Hawai`i in our community.
A registration fee of $100 will include lunch and a raffle ticket for all participants for a chance to win exciting prizes including Hawaiian implements and much more!
