In observance of the 125th anniversary of the Overthrow, the Judiciary History Center, the Hawaiʻi State Bar Association Civic Education Committee, and the Dolores Furtado Martin Foundation present E Ola Nā Mele Lāhui: 125th Observance of the Overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom. The program brings to light Hawaiian political expression through mele and hula, linking new archival documents and newspaper articles on the overthrow to Hawaiʻi’s legal history.
