Pōkiʻi Seto composed “Leilani” to commemorate the day Pele erupted in Leilani Estates, in the district of Puna, on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. He shared the story behind this mele and sang it on the fifth episode of season 3 of Mele Ma Ka Lihiwai.

About the Series
