Hilo is the most eastern port in Hawaiʻi, making it the ideal location for Hōkūleʻa and Hikianalia to stop at before departing Hawaiʻi on the Worldwide Voyage. The crews are welcomed by the community and given a priceless gift from Hilo’s Hālau O Kekuhi. After a brief delay, they set off on their journey. Music by Kaʻiwi Hamakua-Makue, Hikianalia crew.
