Within the town of Hilo, the Hawaiian language can be seen and heard everywhere from The Merrie Monarch at the Edith Kanakaʻole Stadium to the many shops fronting Hilo Bay. Our ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi thrives with the help of the Hawaiian Language College at UH Hilo and the early childhood program, ʻAha Pūnana Leo.
