For the sixth consecutive year, Shell Vaʻa from Tahiti has claimed the top prize at the worldʻs premier outrigger canoe paddling contest. The 41-mile journey across the Kaʻiwi Channel tested the skill, endurance, and determination of the hundreds of paddling enthusiasts who participated.

Congratulations to all who continue the tradition of heihei waʻa.
