The 2012 legislative session closed earlier this month but not before a bill passed, designating February as “ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi Month” that also requires proper spelling of the Hawaiian language on official documents and new street signs. The Hawaiian language wins again with legislation and 30 successful years for Punana Leo preschools.
