Mele Ma Ka Lihiwai Episode 3: Nā Leo Manu
ʻŌiwi TV’s original music series “Mele ma ka Lihiwai” presents its third episode of Season 3, located at Kaʻelepulu river in Kailua, Oʻahu. In this episode, we are joined with some of our friends from the Hawaiian language revitalization movement, Naʻilima Gaison, Kealoha Reff, and Pōkiʻi Seto. Joined with them are Kumu Kahōkū from Pūnana Leo o Mānoa, and two of his haumāna, Kawena and Kawaiola. Throughout this episode, our host Amy Kalili talks story with these friends about Pūnana Leo, and some of the mele and life lessons that are taught to our keiki. Join us as we hear mele from our friends, “Nā Leo Manu.”
