Kuʻu Pua i Paoakalani

Composed by Queen Liliʻuokalani, this mele is about her garden, Paoakalani, from which a loyal supporter wrapped flowers in Hawaiian language newspapers so that the Queen could learn of news that was prohibited to her during her imprisonment in ʻIolani Palace.
