The Process for the Kanaʻiolowalu Initiative

The Process for the Kanaʻiolowalu Initiative

The year-long Kana’iolowalu initiative is an important first-step in the restoration of a Native Hawaiian Government. Its a two-step process. First is to sign the petition. This should be signed by anyone who affirms the unrelinquished inherent sovereignty of Native Hawaiians and stand unified in the movement to restore self-governance to the Hawaiian Nation. The second step goes a little further. It is to register and verify a list of Native Hawaiians who want to take an active part in the creation of their government. Registration is open to all Native Hawaiians who can verify their ancestry and there are no residency or citizenship requirements. For more information visit kanaiolowalu.org.
