ʻŌiwi TV’s original music series “Mele ma ka Lihiwai” presents its sixth episode located at Kaʻelepulu river in Kailua, Oʻahu. In this episode, we are joined with multi Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winner, Raiatea Helm. With her are well-known musicians Wailau Ryder, Jeff Au Hoy, and Sonny Lim. Throughout the episode, our host Amy Kalili strings together the beautiful mele with a bit of walaʻau, or talk-story moments, that highlight the stories behind each mele performed. Join us as we delight in the classic old Hawaiʻi music that Raiatea brings to Hawaiʻi.

    Living in NY weathering 4 degree temperatures, listening to the beautiful sounds of Raiatea and her group made me feel like I was there in the warmth of the islands. Thank you for sharing your program.
