ʻŌiwi TV’s original music series “Mele ma ka Lihiwai” presents its fifth episode located at Kaʻelepulu river in Kailua, Oʻahu. In this episode, we are joined by Pō & the 4fathers. This group consists of kāne from Hawaiʻi and Oʻahu islands including, Kalei Young, Chris Peʻa, Roman Corpuz, Kiliona Young, and Kawaioli Hoe. In this episode, these kāne share with us original mele composed from a uniquly Hawaiian perspective celebrating ʻōlelo (language), ʻāina (land), and the lāhui (people and places of Hawaiʻi). Throughout the episode, our host Amy Kalili strings together the beautiful mele with a bit of walaʻau, or talk-story moments, that highlight the stories behind each mele performed.
