On 29 October 2011, the ʻAha Pūnana Leo held its annual fundraiser Neʻepapa I Ke Ō Mau at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The theme of “He Moʻopuna ʻŌlelo Ola” celebrated the deep connection between modern sustainable technologies and an education rooted in Hawaiian language and culture in preserving our natural resources. Throughout the evening, attendees were serenaded by musicians Kainani Kahaunaele, Shawn Pimental, Holunape, and Napua Makua. The proceeds from the night’s events further the ʻAha Pūnana Leo’s mission of Hawaiian language revitalization. E Ola Mau Ka ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi – The Hawaiian Language Shall Live!
